Welcome to Titletown, mate. Sleeve here, reporting to you live from the greatest sports city in the world, Boston, MA. Well actually, virtually checking in, as I tragically have been transplanted to the pit that is New York for work reasons. To clarify, I grew up in the heart of Massachusetts until I was 18, then college & the working world pushed me elsewhere. But I’ve never lost my passion for the city of Boston, and more importantly our sports teams. This blog is going to be dedicated to all things Boston sports, as well as fantasy football, betting, and the odd pop culture or miscellaneous brain-dump blog. Essentially this will just be an outlet for me to dump the hundreds of thousands of ridiculous takes that run through my brain daily while slogging through the mud of corporate America. Think of it like this; we’re sitting on a bench waiting for the bus and I’m Forrest Gump, but just a sliver more intelligent. And you’re my unnamed audience, listening with bated breath (probably). Anyways, just a few housekeeping items to cover before I publish this groundbreaking blog; My fandom ranking is as follows:

  1. Patriots

  2. Red Sox

  3. Bruins

  4. Celtics

  5. Notre Dame

  6. Golf

  7. UFC

Although Notre Dame is at the bottom of this list, I still would consider myself a diehard fan of their football team, which may make some readers want to puke and honestly, I don’t blame you. At my funeral I want the Notre Dame football team to lower my casket into the ground so they can let me down just one last time. But I digress. If you see a lot more Pats and Sox coverage than Bruins or Celtics, refer to this list for an explanation. Last housekeeping note - the title, 13 Rings Sports Club, refers to the 13 championships that I’ve claimed as a fan of this great city and its teams since I’ve been a true fan who understood what was going on and wasn’t just a snot-nosed baby puking and shitting myself (roughly the year 2000). 6x Patriots, 4x Red Sox, 2x Celtics, 1x Bruins. I want to thank my parents for birthing me in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and raising me a Boston fan. It's been the great honor of my life to root for these teams and this city. Now without further adieu, let’s ride.

Love,

Sleeve McDichael
